Description and tags: TatSeek Vision Scan, an AI reading of each photo (Claude, by Anthropic) under written rules and a closed tag vocabulary, checked against photos labelled by hand. Shares of the picture are visual estimates, not measurements. Nothing about the person in the photo is recorded. How tagging works(Vision Scan tags)
Price and time: the size picks the studio’s price tier (medium: $400–$600); TatSeek narrows it by the complexity of this piece → ≈$500–$600. Time comes from size × detail. How prices are calculated
Worked example (not this photo): the scanner sees a forearm and that the tattoo runs along about 60% of it. An adult forearm is about 25.5 cm from elbow to wrist (24 cm on a typical female frame, 27 cm on a typical male frame), so the tattoo is ≈15 cm, give or take 15% (13–17 cm). That puts it in the medium tier (10–20 cm), which this imaginary studio prices at $300–$600. Where 13–17 cm sits inside 10–20 cm by area, nudged by a detail of 60/100, gives ≈$380–$500, and ≈2.5–4 hours. A $300-wide price list becomes a $120-wide estimate for this one piece. It stays a planning range; the artist quotes the final price.
