FAQ

Common questions about what TatSeek is and how to use it. For a specific listing, use Report an issue.

Is TatSeek a tattoo studio?

No. TatSeek is a catalogue. Every studio and artist on it is a separate, real business — browse the work, then contact them directly.

Can I book a tattoo here?

No. There is no booking system. Each studio and artist page has their own booking link, phone or messaging — the conversation happens directly with them.

Where do the prices come from?

From what studios publish, from figures confirmed to us, or from a TatSeek estimate based on local market rates — each studio page says which. Every price is a range, not a quote.

Are the prices exact?

No. The final price depends on the design, size, placement, artist and session time. Use the ranges to plan, and get an exact quote from the studio.

Does TatSeek use AI?

Yes, in the background — to help tag photos from a fixed vocabulary and to draft descriptions. Tags and facts are reviewed, and the vocabulary is closed. AI is not used to write reviews or invent prices.

Are the tattoo images AI-generated?

No. Every image is a photograph of a real tattoo made by a real artist on a real person. None of the work in the catalogue is AI-generated.

How are tattoos classified?

From a fixed set of axes — style, technique, placement, subject, colour, size and complexity. See the full vocabulary.

Can a studio or artist claim a profile?

Yes. Some profiles are built from public information; the owner can claim it and take over.

Can I add my studio?

Yes — start here.

Can I request removal of a photo?

Yes. Report it with the photo URL and we will remove it.

How current is the information?

Important studio fields — hours, pricing, contact, ratings — carry the date they were last confirmed, so a stale listing shows as stale.
