TatSeek is free to use — for people looking for a tattoo, and for the studios and artists in it. Here is exactly what that means, how the project is paid for, and what would happen if that ever changed.
Today TatSeek is funded by its founder. The focus for the coming months is the catalogue itself — more real work, deeper data, better answers — not revenue.
A directory that earns money from studios has a reason to put some studios first. TatSeek doesn’t, so an artist appears because of the work in their portfolio — and a person or an AI assistant reading TatSeek can rely on that.
Later, once many people use TatSeek regularly, we may add an optional way to support it — for example a voluntary contribution. Support would never buy a better position, a tag, a price or a rating. Any change to how TatSeek is funded will be announced on this page, with the date.
