Eric Priestley came to tattooing after more than 20 years in the arts, as a studio tech, printer, designer, game artist, illustrator, furniture builder, engraver and monument artist, and then served a two-year apprenticeship with George Long. He is inspired by ancient decorative art and 'animal style' motifs, 19th-century illustration, comics, folklore, East Asian scroll paintings and woodcuts.
